My Family is my blessing

Dear friends,

I am here today to share my thoughts on family and a related scrapbook layout on family.

My family is my greatest blessing in life. I always thank God that choosing each one of them for my life.

Each one is unique. Even we fight, quarel at times but each one of them is so dear to each at heart.

Wealth will come and go. But family – they love you despite your flaws and mistakes...they are there for you always.
Spend time with your family. No gift in life can quite compare to that kind of love and heartfelt support.

Based on this thought, i have created a scrapbook layout with my family picture.

Closer view

Sorry for the poor photograph.Used  DCWV fresh floral paper stack & Bobnbetty papers. Stenciled with Crafter's Workshop Template and modelling paste.

Once the modelling paste was dried, i misted with pink water colours and took a sponge and dabbed the water colours to get a rough heart shape in the center and allowed it to dry.

Adhered the photo to Bobnbetty papers and pasted a heart shaped die-cut on the photo. decorated it with stamped flowers.

For Flowers, I used Linen blooms from Mudra stamps, stamped the images on card stocks and water coloured. I fussy cut them and adhered with foam dots and added some glitter balls to the centers.Outlined the edges and lines with 3D glitter outliners to sparkle it up. On only one flower i did a outline quilling with red quilling strips. For leaves i coloured it using stadetler colour pencils.

Pasted the small heart die-cuts unevenly and added glitters over it.

This is my first experiment with stamped flowers on a layout, hope you liked it.

Thanks a bunch

Dear friends,

Inspired by a few challenges, i am here to share a Mixed Media card with Mason Jar.

I couldn't stop myself from buying when i saw the "Flower in a Jar"Stamp collection from The Peek-a-boo Designs. This is first set from them and those roses first attracted here to work on it.

Pasted the distressed pattern paper to the card base. Stenciled on the left side to adhere the sketch challenge release by them. Did masking to get the flower arrangement and water coloured it with staedtler colour pencils. Embellished with pearls.

Memories

Dear friends,

I am here today to share a quilled scrapbook layout as DT inspiration project for Unstampabelles.

The challenge this month is on "Changing Seasons"with a twist to be masculine.

I have created a quilled layout with the photograph of my son when he was two. This photo was treasure to me, when i asked him to pose to the camera to take a click, he inclined side ward to see his photo.
Now he is twelve, missing his cute naughtiness and gifted this layout as his birthday gift to remind him.

To create this layout, I took an white card base watercoloured, sprinkled and misted it with poster colours. Allowed the card to dry. Then added the quilled square frames, quilled flowers, pattern paper and photo, since the theme was masculine kept the embellishment to minimal.

The number and sentiment are printed

Got some idea.

Susan has sponsored to gift the winner the below lovely dies.

Under the sea @IQCG

Dear friends,

This month the challenge i host at IQCG is Under the sea. Create anything with under water creatures.

Janpanese Koi fish - the mix of colours inspired me a lot and my longing desire to create a quilled artwork of koi fish.

This bright orange and yellow koi fish is made with quilling paper and watercolor in the background.
